What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information collected through this website: from visitors and from people who contact us through the enquiry forms. It does not set out how client records are handled once an engagement begins. That is governed by the engagement agreement and any NDA between the parties, and is summarised on our Security & Data Protection and Confidentiality & NDA pages.
Information we collect
What you give us
When you use an enquiry form we collect what you choose to enter:
- Your name, firm or business name, email address and, optionally, telephone number
- For firms: firm type, approximate number of bookkeeping clients, the support needed and your preferred working model
- For small businesses: accounting software, months behind, number of bank accounts and cards, approximate transaction volume, payroll, number of locations, and the selections you made in the price calculator if you submit them
- Any message you write, and what you tell us if you correspond by email or telephone
Please do not send bank statements, account numbers, passwords or tax identifiers through the website. It is not set up for them. We agree a secure transfer method once we are working together.
What is collected automatically
- The IP address and time of a form submission, recorded with the enquiry to help prevent spam and abuse
- Standard server logs kept by our web host, which include IP addresses and the pages requested
- Aggregate usage statistics from our analytics service (see below)
How we use information
- To reply to your enquiry and assess whether and how we can help
- To prepare a quote, proposal or agreement you have asked for
- To administer the relationship if we work together
- To keep the website and our email secure, and to prevent spam and abuse
- To understand and improve the website using aggregate statistics
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations
We use information for these business purposes because it is needed to respond to you, to run and secure the site, and to comply with the law. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
International processing
A&M Offshore Accounting is based in Pakistan, so information you submit is processed there. Our service providers also operate in other countries, including the United States. By submitting an enquiry you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in these locations. If you are a U.S. firm or business, please note that information submitted through this website goes to Pakistan.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as is needed to respond to you and, if we work together, to maintain business records of the engagement. If no engagement follows, we do not keep an enquiry longer than is reasonably necessary. Records we are required to keep by law are kept for as long as that law requires.
How we protect it
This website is served over HTTPS, enquiry forms are protected against automated misuse, and access to the mailboxes and server records that hold enquiries is limited. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, which is why we ask you not to submit sensitive documents through the website.
Your choices and requests
You may ask us what information we hold about you from the website, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing moinmalik@amoffshore.com. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, and we will consider requests in good faith and respond as applicable law requires. We have not certified compliance with any particular privacy framework, and this policy does not claim to.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and accounting professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
